N-way Calling (Mobile)
The Collaborate Desktop applicaton allows the ability to create a group call of up to 4 users (3 plus yourself) by either merging more than one active call into a new Conference call, called N-way Calling.
Moving from a 121 call to an N-Way call
This process begins from an active 121 call screen between the main user (User A) and another user (User B ) . User A will click the new “Add” button on the call screen.
This will take the user to the “App Participants” screen shown below. The user can then use the tabs at the bottom to view their active calls or add a second call from either the Contacts tab (find an internal user), or the dialpad (dial an external number).
User A selects the result that they wish and then will click the “Start Call” button. This will place the call with User B on hold automatically whilst User A and new User C are connected.
Once on the active call to User C whilst call with User B is on hold, User A will then click “Add to call” to create a Group Call (N-way call) containing Users A,B & C. The 121 calls with users B & C will be ended.
Note: Adding a 4th participant to the call will follow the same steps as above. The only difference is that the already active group call will not hear hold music whilst User A speaks to User D before clicking “Add to Call”. User A’s audio will be directed to User D and away from the group call. User B and C will still be able to speak.
