Softphone client (desktop)
When provisioning Horizon Collaborate you’ll have two purchase options: The full Horizon Collaborate client or the Collaborate ‘softphone’ client. Collaborate softphone users can upgrade to the full version which features collaborative functionality such as chat and rooms on top of their telephony service.
In this article, we will take a look at the Collaborate softphone’s desktop functionality.
Desktop softphone features
Desktop versions of the client include the following features:
- Calls to other Horizon Collaborate users (including those who use the full version) and external numbers
- Recent calls and recent call filters (all calls, incoming and missed)

What is not included as part of the desktop softphone client
Horizon Collaborate softphone users will not have access to features such as chats, group chats, rooms, presence, or video calls.
